Dear Alumni,

As we stand on the cusp of electing a new Executive to lead our beloved alumni association, I want to take a moment to express my deepest gratitude for the unwavering support and dedication you have shown throughout my tenure as president. It has indeed been a privilege and an honor to serve this vibrant and dynamic community. Over the past term, we have achieved remarkable milestones together, thanks to the collective effort, vision, and commitment of our executive members, volunteers, and each one of you.

This second term has been marked by a variety of significant experiences as we celebrated our school's 75th Anniversary.  During this period, I had the honor of being supported by a team of executive members who worked tirelessly and showed their undeniable love and loyalty to our beloved school.

Please allow me to thank them via this message for showing that teamwork indeed makes the dream work. They are: 1st Vice President-Shelly McLaughlin; 2nd Vice President - Nigel Walker; Secretary - Stacy-Ann O’Meally; Treasurer - Patreena Cunningham; PRO - Denise Dennis; Assistant Secretary/Treasurer -Rhonda Allen. Co-opted members were: Rev. Robert McHugh, Rohan McDonald, Alex Reid, Dennis Turner and Richard Lawrence. I would like to extend a special thank you to Immediate Past President Hugh Douse, whose wise counsel, vision, and expertise have been invaluable.

Furthermore, I salute past Presidents Paul Brown, Dr. O'Neal Mundle and Sharon Dale, and their executive teams. Their strategic direction and visionary leadership over the years have laid a solid foundation, the fruits of which we are now reaping. I am also honored that they agreed to continue contributing as co-opted members, ensuring continuity and the sharing of their invaluable experience.

On behalf of the current leadership, I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to all of you, our alumni both here in Jamaica and overseas, for your positive impact on the school's affairs. We are deeply grateful for your time, talent, and treasure..And, as we look forward to welcoming a new team, I urge you to give them the same support and encouragement that you have given me. Together, we will continue to strive for excellence and make a positive impact on our community and beyond.

So, on Sunday, August 11, 2024, at 4:30 p.m., let’s gather in Paschal Hall and continue to elevate St. Catherine High School as the top choice in Jamaica.

Sincerely,
