The SCHS Alumni Association’s intention is to use, among other things, Sports as a main way to bring prominence to the school, hence our significant support of track and field and football.
Football Background
The St. Catherine High Schools’ football programme has seen great improvement over the years, moving from consistently being named among the powerhouse teams in discussions about title contenders for the past three year to the 2019 Walker Cup Champion in 2019 and retaining the Trophy in 2021. Prior to this our best performance was Third place finish in 2005 Manning Cup.
The programme is currently being run using the “Academy” model in an effort to further develop, enhance and perfect our style of play, talent development and impact the sport at every level.
Team performances in recent years have had a massive impact on the students' and alumni morale, as well as it has had enormous impact on the surrounding communities and the entire Parish.
Talent recruitment is becoming easier as the programme grows and we win titles.

Why Support Football?
- The school’s internal budget alone is not adequate to fund the football programme to ensure its competitiveness and sustainability.
- There is a need for active support from past students to effectively compete with other successful schools.
- Only a few Past Students have in recent years contributed tangibly to the football programme, and there is a need to widen the support base.
- Recent improved performance of the team is an indication of the team’s potential.
