First St. Catherine High School Alumni to be appointed to the judicature in Jamaica

The St Catherine High School Alumni Association congratulates Icolin Marcia Reid (nee Fearon) of the Class of 1984 on her being sworn is as a Puisne Judge (Supreme Court) on September 15, 2021.

This is the caption.

Ms. Reid is a graduate of the University of the West Indies with a Bachelor of Arts (Language and Literature with Social Sciences) and Bachelor of Laws in 1989 and 1994 respectively.  After completing the Certificate in Legal Education (CLE) at the Norman Manly Law School she was called to the Bar in 1999.  She became a Resident Magistrate (now Parish Judge) in 2008 and was a Senior Parish Judge 2015-2020. In September 2020 she was appointed to act as Pusine Judge at the Supreme Court.  

Her appointment makes her the first St. Catherine High alumni to be appointed to the judicature in Jamaica.
